IMPHAL, Jan 24: Director General of Military Operations of the Indian Army, Lt Gen AK Choudhary met Governor Gurbachan Jagat and chief secretary DS Poonia today before leaving for Delhi. The DGMO who arrived in Imphal with his wife yesterday was briefed on the security situation in Manipur by Major General UK Gurung, YSM, IGAR (S), stated a press released issued by IGAR (S). The DGMO lauded the efforts of the Assam Rifles in fighting insurgency in the state and keeping a close check on infiltration along the international border, it stated.
