IMPHAL, Jan 25: A joint team of 38 AR and 27 AR apprehended seven militants who were engaged in activities with an aim to disrupt the assembly elections and intimidating voters in different places of Thanlon and Tipaimukh assembly constituencies. The arrested militants include four from UTLA, identified as s/s Major Paolallein alias Dev, s/s Cpl Sejan Mang alias Vikki, s/s Pvt Kampu alias Wilson and s/s Pvt Mangminthang alias Remix from Sonthang. The others are Ralupthung, chairman of Lungthullen village and Songte of Parbung village were apprehended from a place in Tipaimukc assembly constituency who were involve in providing logistic support and shelters for movement of HPC (D) cadres and a s/s Private of ZRA, Thuanminlun who was arrested from Bukpi areas while he was committing illegal activities related to elections.
