IMPHAL, Feb 14: A seven-day folk dance festival organized by the Tekcham Gopal Foundation for Arts and Culture (TG-FOAC) under the sponsorship of Ministry of Culture, Government of India was inaugurated on February 12 at TG Complex, Sagolmang, Imphal East.
L Lala Singh, ex-deputy speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly, BC Tekcham, president of TG-FOAC and Kh Yaima Meitei, cultural activist graced the inaugural function as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively. Altogether 10 cultural troupes from different districts of the state are taking part in the festival which will continue till February 18.
