IMPHAL, Feb 14: Lodging complain directly to the Election Commission of India (ECI), Trinamool candidate from Tamei assembly constituency  and former minister D.P Panmei said re-poll should be held in 28 polling stations in his constituency.

In his complain note addressed to the Chief Election Commissioner of India, D.P Panmei said proxy voting have been revealed in the 28 polling stations of Tamei constituency.

He said it was shameful that proxy voting and impersonation were detected in his constituency in the recent photo comparison by the ECI observers in Imphal.

If the re-polls are not done in these 28 polling stations of Tamei assembly constituency a genuine leader would not be elected.
