IMPHAL, Feb 16: Yumlembam Inao Singh, sergeant major of Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP)-MTF, one of the prime militant outfits of Manipur was apprehended from Guwahati and on his way to a court in the city on Thursday, February 16, 2012, stated a reliable source.
The mobile task force (MTF) member of the outfit is also looking after the publicity wing of KCP, the source added.
According to the source, a Kangleipak Communist party (KCP) militant was held by the police at Lachit Nagar in Guwahati on Thursday.
According to reports, Yomlambam Inao Singh, the publicity secretary of KCP was arrested from a rented house during a joint operation of Army Intelligence, Manipur Police, CRPF and Assam police.
Police recovered two mobile phones and few incriminating documents from his possession. The arrested is currently being interrogated by the police, the source added.
