IMPHAL, Feb 20: The village authority Tamei, Tamenglong district and the denizens of Tamei headquarters have extended their heartfelt gratitude and thanks to the CO, 10 Dogra Regiment, Jitendra Sharma, his subordinate officers/officials and all ranks posted at Tamei for their generosity and helping hand to the people living on the edge.
The 10 Dogra Regiment rendered their services in maintaining peace and tranquility in the region, a release issued by Ch. Poujiang, chairman Tamei Headquarters Village Authority said on Monday and added that from the very first day of its stationing at Tamei, the regiment has been showing goodwill and philanthropic actions toward development and transformation in the society.
The regiment has implemented water reservoir tanks for regular supply of water in Tamei besides ground leveling of Foundation Hope School, repairing of IT Road, distributing computers and their accessories to the students, distributing Syntax water tanks, solar Lighting Lamps to the surrounding villages of Tamei headquarters, etc.
It also rendered its best services in helping widows, the poor and needy persons –both individually and parties or groups– with kindness, the release added.
