Bolero overturns

    IMPHAL, March 21: A Bolero jeep bearing registration No MN-01W 7927 lost control at Kilometer stone 62 near Noney on March 20 at about 11 am. The vehicle overturned and fell into a 50 meter deep gorge, stated an official press release of the 10 Assam Rifles.

    The passengers included five employees of MAX Construction Company working with NF Railway on Jiribam Imphal railway project and were travelling in the said vehicle. The troops of 10 Assam Rifles under Red Shield Division rushed to the accident site and assisted the passengers, it stated.

    The injured persons were identified as Ram Krishan Swamiji,  28 , S Buragohain, 27 , Goutam Kumar Das, 35, Suman Roy,  27. They are all working as engineers in the MAX Company and Suresh and Tomba Singh are workers.  The MI Room of 10 Assam Rifles provided the medical assistance to the injured and helped in their further evacuation, the release said.
