IMPHAL, March 26 (Newmai News Network): Bureaucrats in Manipur will no longer worry for a backing or to lobby for better postings once the state policy on transfer or posting is implemented.

On Monday, the state cabinet meeting discussed for the framing of state policy on transfer and posting. However, the meeting was inclusive.

According to a source, Chief Minister O Ibobi, Home minister Gaikhangam, Health minister Phungzathang and Revenue minister Debendra along with chief secretary DS Poonia participated in the meeting this evening. The source said the chief secretary will chair a committee formed and frame modalities which will then be submitted to the concerned authority in one month`s time.

Meanwhile, observers feel that policy such as this is necessary to prevent any nepotism and corruption.

Once this policy is implemented, every bureaucrat including senior IAS officers will have to experience in departments both attractive and otherwise in the state.
