IMPHAL, March 25: The Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF) in a release by the publicity chief Taohangsu Heiremcha has stated that the nature of the security forces is revealed in the incident of violating a defenseless woman by four persons including a police personnel.
The crimes happening in the state involves more than 80% of security personnel and it is indoctrinated in their training, the release stated. The security forces who are there to safeguard the interest of the public have turned on them and have provided women the opportunity to remain wary of the men in uniform. The womenfolk should carry protective arms including sharp objects to keep such sexual predators at bay.
The RPF has stated that the women from Khoubum might have been murdered but since her brother was with her, the assailants might not have taken the step.
It said that the state is protected by uneducated persons in the form of VDF, IRB, commandos, police etc and their sole intent is to extort, loot, rape and kill people. They are also supported by those in power and as long as they retain the dictatorship, the public has no means but to suffer, it concluded.
