IMPHAL, April 4: ASER-IMPHAL CENTRE has inaugurated its office today at the AXIS BANK ATM Building, RIMS Road at 2:30 pm by Professor N. Mohindro Singh.
Further it stated, the annual status of education reports have been produced at national level under the aegis of PRATHAM, the parent body having four operational wings namely ASSESSMENT (A), SURVEY (S), EVALUATION (E) and RESEARCH (R), (ASER). Since 2005 ASER has been working to find out the proportion of children going to school, how well they can read in their own language and whether they can do basic arithmetic. In recognition of its excellent work in evaluation and research, Vice President of India released the annual status of education report 2010 at New Delhi and Kapil Sibal, Minister of Human Resource had released the latest one of 2011, it added.
