IMPHAL, April 4: A documentary film on Padma Bhusan Rani Gaidinliu was release today at Manipur Press Club.
Produced by Prodigal Multimedia, the documentary highlights the life of Rani Gaidinliu. A photo exhibition of the late rani Gaidinliu was also held during the documentary release programme.
Tamei MLA Z Kikhonbou Newmai, chairman Tamenglong ADC G Soihiam Haomei and K Panmei IAS retd attended the programme as chief guest, guest of honour and host guest respectively.
While extending his appreciation and gratitude to the production team of the documentary, retd IAS K Panmei expressed that the documentary will be the first documentary on the life of the freedom fighter Rani Gaidinliu. He also added that such team work between members of different communities in bringing out the documentary will go a long way in maintaining peaceful co-existence of the communities in the state.
He also added that such joint endeavors will only help us to understand the different communities residing together in the state.
He further lauded the hard work of the production team during the production of the documentary.
