IMPHAL, April 24: The 9 Assam Rifles, 26 Sector AR under IGAR (South) celebrated ‘International Earth Day’ on April 22 at Moreh.
Around 140 students and staff of three educational institutions namely, Eastern Shine School, Netaji School and Salvation School participated in the function. An informative talk was delivered highlighting the significance of the day incorporating aspects of Global Warming, Pollution Control and role of children as responsible citizens. Later, a rally was organized around Moreh town wherein the students carried banners to educate the local populace, a release informed.
