IMPHAL, April 24: The prime accused in the sensational murder case of Keisham Premila was on Tuesday produced before CJM, Thoubal and further remanded to police custody till April 27.
Mayanglambam Khelendro, the accused in the rape and murder case of Premila was produced before CJM, Thobal and remanded to police custody till April 24.
He was further remanded to the custody of Kakching police for another three days as further interrogation was deemed necessary regarding the killing.
Premila, a 45-year-old unmarried woman of Wabgai Thingel Leikai was allegedly raped and murdered by Khelendro, a resident of Kakching Turel Wangma Ningthou Pareng.
Her body was found on April 10 at Kakching Mahadev hillock.
Khelendro was arrested by Kakching police on the night of April 14 in connection with the killing.
