KCP factions working to unify

IMPHAL, April 14: The banned KCP today celebrated its 32nd anniversary and greeted the people on the occasion even as three factions of the group have decided to unite together and work under a single umbrella.

On the occasion of the 32nd anniversary day of KCP, KH Lamphel Luwangcha, senior member of KCP, City Meitei, chief advisor, KCP (MTF) and Taibangnganba, commander-in-chief KCP (MC) in a joint message said the militant group pays due respect to the people of Manipur as well as to its comrades who laid down their lives in the course of the revolutionary movement.

The KCP also pay homage to those who have suffered in the movement and said a firm decision has also been jointly taken by the three like-minded factions of the outfit to unite together and go ahead with the armed struggle, the statement said.

KCP further sought the cooperation of the people to strengthen the proposed unification of the three different factions and appealed to all the splinter groups of KCP to make every endeavor to form a united KCP which has no faction.
