KYKL greets on 18th Raising Day

IMPHAL, April 24: The proscribed KYKL today greeted the people of ‘Western Southeast Asia’ region, the people of Kangleipak (Manipur), all the revolutionary organizations of Manipur and party-members of CorCom on the occasion of its 18th Raising Day which falls on April 25.

In a message issued today Chairman of the proscribed KYKL Namoijam Oken admitted that both the revolutionary movement and the social movement are in reverse motion, while also acknowledging the decrease of people’s support for both the movements in recent times.

The chairman said, our peoples are confronted with serious challenges in fact besieged by them and the peoples are drowned in problems brought about by the Indian colonial rule.

He asserted that there is no other alternative way but to save ourselves from such difficult circumstances. Chairman Oken also emphasized on necessary reforms in the revolutionary movements.

It is the sole responsibility of all the underground groups to capture the hearts and minds of the people towards the movement and the cause.

He also admitted that people’s rejection of the movement is due to many mistakes committed by UGs.

The chairman lamented the attitude of the intellectuals, scholars, social workers, editors/journalists, teachers, authors, doctors, engineers, technocrats who seemed to reject them instead of bringing the movement on the right path.

The KYKL Chairman sought advice from the people and intellectuals in both secret and open manner, the chairman added.
