IMPHAL, April 22: The Joint Development Committee, Lilong Chajing on Sunday categorically stated that the clarification made by MPP secretary Robin Blackie in the local dailies on April 20 regarding the controversy over illegal withdrawal of six-month PDS rice for Langthabal constituency was totally wrong.

PDS rice for six months—November to March for the year 2012—had been fraudulently taken away by Th Sharat, nominee of former Langthabal constituency MLA and there is enough evidence to prove the allegation, T Sharat, president of Joint Development Committee, Lilong Chajing told the media at the Manipur Press Club.

Questioning on how the MPP general secretary Robert Blackie came to know that the PDS item meant for Langthabal constituency for six months was not withdrawn by Th Sharat, the nominee of the ex-MLA, Sharat said he is neither the nominee of the ex-MLA nor the agent who can intervene in such matter and further expressed doubt on whether Robert Black himself was also involved in the wrongdoing.

The PDS items were not distributed in the constituency as the nominee of the ex-MLA and the agent did not work sincerely, he accused.
