IMPHAL, April 14: The proscribed RPF today expressed its heartfelt gratitude to all who braved the bad weather and participated at the Martyrs’ Day observance 2012 and thanked the police for not causing any disturbance at the Cheiraoching site.
The mass participation of the public at the event of paying floral tributes to the martyrs has strengthened the freedom movement in certain aspect, the RPF in a statement issued by its secretary publicity, T Leishemba said.
It said the people’s true support in the observance also signaled that PLA, the armed wing of RPF, is stepping ahead with the people in its revolutionary movement along with the people and further added that the PLA has been greatly empowered in its struggle by the sacrificial support of the people.
RPF once again thanked all for providing help to the observation including providing flowers, healthcare, transportation, legal, media, volunteers, friends, representatives of different civil organizations which made great contributions to make the observance a grand success.
