IMPHAL, Apr 1: Principal Secretary Dr Sureshbabu will hold charge of Home, School Education, Adult Education, Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution and IFCD, according to orders issued late in the afternoon.
In an earlier order issued yesterday, the School Education Department was added to Principal Secretary Ameishing Luikham who holds charge of Tribal Affairs and Hills. However, the order was modified later by the Department of Personnel.
It may be mentioned here that, approval for voluntary retirement for two senior IAS officers of Manipur-Tripura cadre Binod Kispotta and Sajjad Hasan was given by the government. The duo had cited personal reasons for seeking retirement.
According to sources, Dr Sureshbabu will formally take charge of the Home department on Monday.
