IMPHAl, April 2: The United Revolutionary Front (URF) today urged all the womenfolk of Manipur, particularly the Meira Paibis to take a key role in punishing young boys and girls with loose morals.
Praising the potential of the Manipur women, the militant outfit in a release signed by its secretary, information and publicity, AK Pibarel strongly urged the womenfolk to get ready for a new uprising.
It added, in this age of globalization with no dearth of opportunities, teens in Manipur are pursuing only indecent acts.
The recent drive launched by some NGOs in the state against various restaurants is a right step, URF asserts that mere imposition of certain restrictions on restaurants will not bear fruit because a task force is necessary to clean not only the restaurants but an all out effort is needed to change the character of the young people of the land.
URF also appealed the Meira Paibis once again to take the responsibility to mend the character of young boys and girls of the land.
