IMPHAL, April 24: The Imphal Municipal Council Elected Ward Development Committee Members Forum today lauded Keishamthong constituency MLA L Ibomcha for his creative thought regarding the development of Imphal Municipal Council.
Imphal city which is the capital of Manipur is an important place for government establishments besides it is the only place where all the official works are discussed and executed by the state MLAs, ministers, MPs and representatives of various District Councils, the forum said in a statement.
The city has been continuously developing since for the last one decade under the leadership and initiative of Chief Minister O Ibobi and for this the people should praise the Chief Minister, it added.
The entire development work being undertaken in the markets of the city has been overseen by Imphal Municipal Council.
The forum further urged the government to consider on how to make the city more beautiful by handing over power to the ward Development Committees and once again appealed to the Chief Minister to let the elected Ward Members to take big role in developing Manipur.
