IMPHAL, May 10: Assam Rifles seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition from the residence of the commander-in-chief of KNF (Z) at Tuibong in Churachandpur district last night, Assam Rifles sources said Thursday.
A team of personnel from E-Coy, 46 Assam Rifles conducted a search operation based on a reliable source at the residence of Thongei, the commander-in-chief of KNF (Z) around 8 pm yesterday during which a huge cache of arms and ammunition were recovered from his possession, they said.
They included three AK 47 rifles with eight magazines and 98 rounds, four lathode shells, one 9 mm pistol with two magazines and eight rounds, the sources added.
