IMPHAL, May 26: The Department of Youth Affairs & Sports, GOM is organizing a felicitation program for the distribution of Chairman’s Sports Award for excellence on International and National Sportsmen of North Eastern Region on May 28 at 11 am at the Directorate office of Youth Affairs & Sports, Khuman Lampak, Imphal.
Meanwhile, the Manipur Olympic Association in a separate press statement has claimed that the 43 gold, 37 silver and 32 bronze medallists of the 34th National Games, Jharkhand have been left out while giving incentive cash awards by the NEC under the scheme “Financial Assistance Sports Chairman’s Sports Award for excellence on International and National Sportsmen by the Sportsmen/ Sportswomen in NER”.
The MOA in this connection has submitted a memorandum to the Governor, Chief Minister and the Director (YAC) yesterday.
