IMPHAL, May 5: Council of Teachers’ Association (COTA) said today all the teaching and non-teaching staffs under the Directorate of Education (S) have not yet got their salaries for many months—some are not getting about one year and some are not for five months–and that Primary, Hindi Primary and Hindi Graduate teachers appointed in December 2011 are now wandering aimlessly where they have been posted.
The salaries for the above period have not been released by the state Finance Department due to inability to complete the regular update of MGEL and CPIS on monthly basis since 2005, COTA said in statement.
