IMPHAL, May 26: The District Magistrate of Imphal East District has imposed 144 Cr.P.C, 1973, prohibiting assembly of five or more persons, carrying sticks, stones, firearms and weapons of any other descriptions or object which can be used as offensive weapons in Imphal East District, Manipur from 6 am of May 26 till 6 am of June 25, 2012.
This order shall not apply to the agencies of the government involved in the enforcement of law and order and the maintenance of essential services.
Further, persons who want to take out procession, public meeting, rally etc within the schedule of area may apply to the District Magistrate of Imphal East District for permission and they shall not take out procession, meeting etc. until the permission is obtained by them.
