IMPHAL, May 11: Two unknown gunmen posing insurgents robbed the inmates of a liquor vendor at Singjamei Makha Naorem Leikai in Imphal West on May 8, according to local meira paibis.
Naorem Leikai meira paibis warned local vendors in the area to close shop within 5 day while demanding clarification from the group or individuals involved in the crime.
According to meira paibis, the incident happened at around 7 pm of May 8 last when two armed men broke into a liquor vendor at Singjamei Makha Naorem Leikai and robbed the people present inside the house of everything including money, gold rings, neck chains and mobile handsets.
In connection with the incident, Naorem Leikai Meira Paibi Apunba Lup organized a protest meeting at 9 pm of May 9 last.
