During a press conference at the Press Club today Co-convenor of the Union Laishram Mandir said, the power department never forgets to send bills or collect revenue regularly yet the consumers receive only three to four hours supply of power in a day.

Laishram Mandir said that the apex body had submitted a memorandum to the state Chief Minister on April 30 on the same issue; however the government is yet to act on its demand.

The apex body had enquired with different districts officials of the department; unfortunately their replies vary from one another.

He further expressed that the public of Heirok will issue an ultimatum for the state authorities to look into their demands and provide adequate power supply to the area.

The apex body will initiate several agitations in case of the government to consider their demands.
