IMPHAL, May 23: Honda Motorcycle and Scooter Private Limited officially opened its showroom at “Punya Honda” located at Ghari, Airport Road today.
The showroom was inaugurated by deputy director of Honda Co Osamu Ishikawa from Japan. He was accompanied by zonal manager of the company Sheshank Razdan.
After the inauguration, Sheshank Razdan in a press meet said that Honda motors provide quality with economical pricing.
“We also care for the safety of our customers, so Honda is setting up a ‘two wheeler simulator’ at the showroom”, he added.
As there are no driving schools for two wheelers the rate of accidents has increased, he said.
Honda will provide a safe environment to train for women and children with the simulator.
Andy Mangsatabam, director of Punya Automobiles also added that, the Honda showroom will provide two wheelers at a margin less then what is being sold at the market presently.
“We have requested the businessmen to refrain from selling Honda made bikes, being the dealer, we will be charging only the ex-showroom price, there will be a difference of at least 6 to 7 thousand rupees”, he said.
Andy concluded on the note that 13.5 % of each vehicle will be the sales tax which will add to the state government coffer.
