IMPHAL, May 29: Home Minister Gaikhangam has exhorted the Kabuis to be united first and propagate the sense of unification to the other communities.
The Minister was speaking at the felicitation of Zeliangrong representatives today at Keisham-thong Kabui Khul under Sagolband constituency.
The MLAs were Gaikhangam of Nungba , Kikhonbou Newmai of Tamei, and Janghemlung Panmei of Tamenglong. The function was attended by Sagolband MLA, Rk Imo.
The presidium members of the function also included Kairong Golmei, Khunbu of Keisamthong and Khullakpa Lungpuiga Remmei.
Minister Gaikhangam said, “One must have the courage to admit one’s mistake and to apologize for it. Sadly it is lacking nowadays.”
“The different communities are like different flowers growing in a garden, it is not good to hurt the sentiments of another community, we all must be united to bring about a congenial atmosphere to resemble a beautiful garden”, he added.
MLA Kikhonbou Newmai in his speech invited interested people to establish farms, business ventures in his area.
MLA Rk Imo also promised to look into the needs of the Kabui khul and that development projects will be distributed equally in his constituency.
