IMPHAL, May 13: Discovering the movement of UG cadres in Nongda Thongkhong, a combined team of 36 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector and 23 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) launched operation in the area and apprehended one PLA cadre on Sunday.
The apprehendee was identified as self-styled corporal Khumbongmayum Nando alias Naryan, 36, s/o Kh Khade of Nongoda Thongkhong, Lamlai, Imphal East. The apprehendee was handed over to Lamlai Police station, according to a release from IGAR (S).
