PLA leader nabbed at border

IMPHAL, May 23: A top PLA leader SS Colonel Lily Leima has been arrested along with two accomplices by the Border Security Force (BSF) while trying to cross over the border from Bangladesh to India in the Meghalaya sector, according to reliable sources in Imphal.

The other accomplices have been identified as LT Ibecha and one Mema, the sources add.

Sources said, Lily Leima was earlier handling the publicity wing of the banned outfit Revolutionary Peoples Front, the political wing of PLA.

Meanwhile, a firefight ensued between two insurgent groups at Chatrick village under Kamjong Sub-division of Ukhrul district according to police sources.

No casualty has been reported so far.
