IMPHAL, May 16: A five-year-old girl was killed when she was mowed down by a speeding Ace Magic passenger van at Charangpat Mayai Leikai under Thoubal police station late evening yesterday.
The victim is identified as Sorokkhaibam Chaobatomba, aged 5, daughter of Shanta, a resident of Charangpat Mayai Leikai.
Chaobatomba was hit by a speeding Ace Magic passenger van at Charangpat Mayai Leikai around 4:30 pm. She died on the spot.
A case has been registered at the Thoubal police over the road mishap. Post mortem was conducted at JNIMS, Porompat and later handed to the family.
