IMPHAL, May 24: A public rally was held protesting the steep hike in petrol price here at Imphal today.
The rally which carried under the banner “Roll Back Petrol Price Hike” started off from MajorKhul, took a break at Kangla traffic island and shouted slogans “Roll Back Petrol Price Hike”, “stop burdening common man”. Later, the rally headed towards BT road and covered the bazar areas.
The public rally was participated by the All India Trade Union Congress, All Manipur Barber’s Association, All India Trade Federation and other women’s organizations.
