IMPHAL, May 9: The proscribed RPF on Wednesday heavily came down against the state government, saying the “habit of begging” from the Centre.

Flaying the state Chief Minister O Ibobi for acting like a beggar when he asked the Union Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde for funds to ensure regular power supply the banned RPF in a statement signed by its secretary publicity T Leishemba said that the people should understand the real motive of the Chief Minister in attempting to destroy the entire system, while neglecting the proper use of the abundant resources of the state.

It added, the whole forest areas in the state had been destroyed, resulting in artificial famine and floods, apart from destroying vast areas of paddy fields measuring 80,000 paris (approximately 80,000 hectares) even as the inhabitants of Loktak lake had been robbed off their livelihood, leaving them in the streets like beggars.

The Chief Minister pleaded to the Centre like an insane man for establishment of National Counter terrorism Centre (NCTC) by blaming that numerous militants in Manipur are attempting to disrupt and obliterate the state’s rule of law, the RPF statement said.

It added, the humanity being rational by nature, nobody wants violence and that they always desire for a prosperous life.

Asking that who really was responsible behind the present state of affairs in Manipur where extreme crimes are being witnessed every day, RPF further asked how can a state which has been under subjugation for over 63 years bring stability.

The role of Ibobi in this juncture is akin to madness and that he is drifting here and there, RPF alleged and vowed that the revolutionary movement will continue though thousands of acts like NCTC are enforced in Manipur.

Branding the Chief Minister as Subedar Khelendro and a man who has been begging by taking the role of a monk, RPF blamed India, which it called an expansionist country, for every single trouble that has been happening in the state every day.
