IMPHAL, May 28: The save forest campaigner team has been organizing green ribbon, tree plantation and slogan competition campaign starting from April 12 as a part of general people’s involvement to promote the World Environment Day 2012 and for the generations to come.
Under the aegis of Environment Day a Watchword War 2012 was organized on the theme “Save Forest” with one thousand student participants under the guidance of Laishram Mohindro (IFS) conservator, Central Circle-Forest Department.
The prize distribution program will be held on World Environment Day on June 5 at Carmel Jyoti, Luwangsangbam from 11 am.
The winners are: first prize – Ch Rebinei Aimol, Nirmalabas High School, second prize – Sheetal Shalini, Little Flower School, third prize – Ngashepam Sophia, Paree Imom Sindam Sang, Kamei Timothy, Don Bosco School, Chingmeirong, LP Khuvei Gemson Tiny Tots’ unique School and Grand prize – Little Flower School, Tiddim Road.
