LAMKA, May 28: With the motive of ushering a grass-root development amongst the people of Churachandpur, the Churachandpur ADC (MDC) have been doing their bits through various schemes of the government. People living in the interior areas have benefited from the proper implementation of the schemes under the DRDA/IAY.
Chairman ADC/Ccpur Langkhanpau Guite said during the distribution of Poultry birds under the Backyard Poultry Farming Schemes -2010-11 organised by the Veterinary Dept/Ccpur at Meeting Hall of the ADC.
He further stated he discovered this during his tour with Health Minister T Phungzathang, MLA Singngat, GS Haupu and MLA Thanlon Vungzagin Valte of the interior areas.
He expressed gratitude to the Vety dept for implementing the state government order due to which about 20 poultry birds each were given out to as many as 136 beneficiaries. The Joint Director of Ccpur vety department Saidoukhum Joute stated to the press that the 20 poultry birds are valued at Rs 2000 and expressed his hope that all the beneficiaries will be able to enhance their economy. The programme was organised in collaboration between Vety department and ADC/Ccpur with the benficiaries being selected by the ADC members, according to sources
