IMPHAL, May 26: Burning of Karnataka products in the state continued today, with more goods originating from that state were set on fire by the six student bodies somewhere in Imphal East.
KSA president Pradip while talking to the media at the office of DESAM Imphal East appealed to all concerned to remove all hoardings showing all kinds of advertisements of Karnataka by tomorrow, including advertisement in the local newspapers.
He also sought cooperation of the people in their protest demanding the handing of the two cases of Richard Loitam and Okram Laba to the CBI.
DESAM general secretary Thoithoi also pledged to continue the burning of Karnataka goods in the state until and unless the two cases are handed over to the CBI. He warned to all the retailers and wholesalers to stop selling Karnataka products.
All the parents whose wards learning outside the state should not kept mum on the issue by thinking that such incidents have not encountered by their children, said MSF president Milan during the press meet.
The burnt items included incense sticks and biscuits of different brands manufactured by Karnataka factories.
