IMPHAL, May 22: Jwalamukhi Battalion under the aegis of Red Shield Division launched an operation at Sekmai and apprehended a KYKL cadre, who has been involved in number of extortion activities in
the area and works in the financial wing of KYKL. Some 9mm carts were recovered from his possession. He has been handed over to Sekmai Police Station, stated a PIB release.
In another operation, troops of 10 Assam Rifles apprehended one People United Liberation Front (PULF) at Phaiyang Chingkhong. The apprehended person is identified as Md Rami Phundreinayum alias Rami Khan son of Kibung Yaima of Paobitek Maning Leikai, Imphal West. Later, the apprehended person was handed over to police station Lamsang, it further added.
