Works Min for work culture

IMPHAL, May 4: The new Works Minister Dr Kh Ratankumar has appealed to officials and workers of the Public Works Department (PWD) to develop a work culture to benefit the state.

The minister was felicitated by the officers led by the Chief Engineer M Lokendro Singh, staff and employees and contractor associations today at the conference hall of the PWD complex at Khoyathong.

Speaking on the occasion Minister Ratankumar highlighted the importance of PWD in the development activities of the state government.

He complimented the department for timely completion of some important schemes and projects which led to public confidence. He appealed to the gathering to continue with the good work.

Dr Ratan also drew the attention of the Engineers and contractors to complaints and aspirations of the public in order to create a work culture with the deployment of work-charged and muster roll employees in the field.

The function was attended among others by Principal Secretary (Works & Transport) Ram Muivah, IAS; Chief Engineer (M & E) M Thaimon Singh and Additional CE-I Pradip Mukherjee.
