One person has died and another 43 fell seriously ill in the sudden outbreak of diarrhoea and vomiting in the Jiribam sub-division of Imphal East. Just after getting report of the sudden outbreak, state Health and Family Welfare Minister Phunjathang Tonshing rushed there this afternoon accompanied by top officials of his department.
After taking stock of the situation, the Minister told AIR News that the situation is under control now. He also assured that adequate measures have been taken up to control the situation and there is no apprehension of further casualty.
