150 teachers appointed illegally

IMPHAL, June 7:  The All Manipur Muslim Girls Student Union (AMMGSU) has made allegations that, as many as 150 teachers for Muslim Madrassah have been appointed through back door process.

In another scandal, one Md Tajuddin Khan has fraudulently withdrawn a huge amount of money to be given to three Idgahs as aid,  Rukshar Choudhury, president of AMMGSU told reporters at the Manipur Press Club here on Thursday.

Md Tajuddin, Project Officer of WAKF Board has illegally selected 62 mosques and another 10 funeral grounds which are to be received aid, Rukshar alleged. Tajuddin also fraudulently withdrew all the money to be given to three Idgahs.

The WAKF Board had officially informed the Commissioner of MOBC not to hold interview for appointment of teachers for Muslim Madrassah without administrative approval. However, the concerned authorities of MOBC held the interview and appointed 150 teachers while on the other hand it served a notice to the public that the interview had been put off, Rukshar further accused.

On top of this, ex-minister Md Allaouddin Khan issued several job appointment orders without proper administrative approval. All the individuals were appointed without approval of the state government except three-four individuals, he said.

Drawing the attention of the state Chief Minister and MOBC Minister, the WAKF president appealed the two leaders to look after the matter and also to take up stringent action against all the individuals who are involved in the fraudulent cases.
