IMPHAL, June 7: The Traffic Police, Imphal East led by Sub-inspector N Angouton Singh, OC under the supervision of SP Imphal East district conducted special drive w. e. f. June 6 and 7 against vehicles/motorcycles with faulty Regd. No. plates, driving/riding without proper or valid licence.
In regard to this, 86 two wheelers were challaned and collected Rs 8, 600, from different places viz. Palace Gate, Lamlong Bazar, New Checkon etc.
Further, 216 four wheelers with tinted glass were removed under the Motor Vehicles Act 1988 and Rules 100 (2) of the Central Motor Vehicle Act 1988 so as to prevent commission of crime, said a police release.
