IMPHAL, June 5: Discovering the transportation of illicit liquorin Chassad, troops of 44 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) launched operation and apprehended two female along with 35 litres of country made liquor from a Bus, bearing registration number MN-01-1858 traveling from Ukhrul to Kamjong on June 4.
The apprehendees were identified as Paothingla Chithung, 55, wife of Achung Chitung, residence of Kasom Khullen, and Rina Chithung, 18, daughter of Paothingla Chithung, residence of Kasom Khullen, who along with recoveries were handed over to Kamjong Police station
In another incident, 28 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (S) recovered a hand Grenade from the residence of Hamenda Pradhan of Moijing village on June 4. The same was handed over to Thoubal Police station.
