IMPHAL June 4: BCCI vice president Chitrak Mitra who was on a two-day visit to the state, assed the infrastructures available in Manipur for the promotion of cricket in the state today.
The BCCI VP who is in the state on a two day visit today conducted a press briefing at the Manipur Press Club before leaving.
He further expressed that he will proposed the provision of a first class cricketer to coach the state side for a minimum of 4 months during the board meeting of the BCCI.
Mitra during his visit had also visited the Lakpoklakpam Cricket ground, Luwangsangbam, yesterday and visited the Bishnupur side of the Bishnupur today.
He said the BCCI has already started taking developmental programme under its New Area Development Programme and added the BCCI has already granted a sum of Rs 50 lakh to the Manipur Cricket Association, MCA.
He also added that the BCCI is thinking of bringing a team with some international players to play an exhibition match with the state team during the inaugural of the Cricket stadium at Luwangsangbam.
