IMPHAL, June 7: A 32-year-old woman was killed when a truck hit her at Tendongyan under Sekmai Police Station.
The victim Yumlembam Romila and her husband Y Ibocha, a resident of Khurkhul Awang Leikai were hit by the truck while the couple was in their way riding a bicycle at Tendongyan in Imphal West yesterday around 3:30 pm.
The speeding truck rammed the bicycle throwing her on the roadside and slammed on a rock, killing her on the spot.
A case has been registered with the Sekmai Police Station in connection with the incident. The family has claimed the body after having post mortem examination at RIMS mortuary.
