IMPHAL, June 4: Suspected militants reportedly lobbed a Chinese hand grenade at the residence of a woman Pradhan at Moijing Awang Leikai under Thoubal Police Station.
The Pradhan is identified as Hamida, 30, wife of late Moulibi Kamaluddin.
The incident happened around 12:50 pm when unidentified persons suspected to be militants threw a hand grenade over the residence of the Pradhan but it did not explode, police sources said.
No group has claimed responsibility for the failed bomb attack so far.
A police bomb squad retrieved the bomb and later defused it in the late afternoon.
