IMPHAL, June 13: The Kuki Students Organisation, Siakul Block in association with World Vision India organised a felicitation-cum-Career Counselling of HSLC and HSE, 2012 successful candidates today at Model School, Saikul.
The programme was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Senapati PK Jha, SDO/BDO Saikul, DK Thangboi, Superintendent of Police, Senapati, Pushpanjali and Member Sadar Hills ADC, Thangjakam Misao as chief guest, president and guests of honour.
Speaking at the programme PK Jha congratulated the students and urged them to work harder in their studies with dedication to become successful in their life.
They will have more liberty and freedom after their higher secondary, the IAS officer told the students before urging them to choose the right path.
The Senapati DC also appealed to the people for a collective effort to bring development for the whole society rather than work for their individual interest.
Senapati SP, Pushpanjali said all kinds of jobs are important to the society; however one should be careful while choosing one’s career.
Sadar Hills ADC member Misao said, “We need to develop the habit of reading” and added the people should wake up and work harder.
Four students of Saikul area were felicitated during the function.
