IMPHAL, June 12: The All Manipur College Teachers’ Association today released its half yearly journal entitled ‘Teachers’ Voice’ at Imphal College with a formal function.
The function was attended by editor of the journal, Dr E Iboyaima Singh, AMCTA president L Landhoni Devi, Principal of Imphal College, RC Haomom, Motbung College Principal, Thungal Anal and Tadubi Hill College, Dr A Surenjit Singh as the president, chief guest and guests of honour.
Addressing the key-note address, joint editor of the journal, Ch Bijoy Singh said the first edition of the journal was released on January 31, 2009 at Oriental college.
This is the third edition of the journal, he said.
Even though the journal is supposed to be a half yearly publication, the teachers association has been unable to release it periodically due to several issues faced by the association.
Among the most prominent issues is the financial crunch faced by the association and the teachers inability to send in their articles to the editing group.
The association convened a meeting on October 31, 2011 and resolved to release this year’s journal. Following the resolution the association started collecting articles and managed to release this year’s edition, he said.a
