IMPHAL, June 2: Family members has on Saturday claimed the body of one Rajesh Nongrem hailing from Meghalaya after the officials of Imphal Municipal Council established his identity moments before his disposal.
Earlier on May 31, the Imphal Municipality had arranged for his disposal as nobody claimed the body, but surprisingly, his election ID card was found from his pocket following which the body was kept at the RIMS mortuary awaiting claim by his relatives.
Rajesh was found dead in the Naga River section of North AOC here on May 28 last.
