IMPHAL, June 3: The Film Forum, Manipur today conducted a social service at Kekrupat in connection with the upcoming Great June Uprising.
Speaking to media persons Forum chairman Laimayum Surjakanta Sharma said since the beginning of the Great June Uprising day observation, the Film Forum, Manipur has been conducting voluntary cleansing of the Kekrupat area as its contribution to the observation and tribute to the martyrs of Manipur every year.
He told IFP that UCM is organizing the observation to remember the martyrs of June 18, 2001 and further appealed to all civil societies, NGOs to participate and pay homage to the heros of Manipur who had sacrificed their lives for the integrity of Manipur.
He further appealed to all to extend support in conducting the forthcoming day.
