IMPHAL, June 2: The 22nd Foundation Day observation of the All Manipur Video Film Makers and Producers Association, AMVIMPA was held today at its new office at Wangkhei Angom Leikai.
Film Forum Manipur Chairman L Surjakanta Sharma, AMVIMPA President Chan Heisnam and AMVIMPA Vice-President Ksh Kishore Kumar attended the function as chief guest, president and guest of honour, respectively.
Speaking at the function, Surjakanta Sharma said one should know the history of the film industry in Manipur beforehand if he or she wants to traverse the path of film world.
He appealed to the producers, directors and all others to make movies which could promote the Manipuri film industry before the outside world.
The Film Forum, Manipur will be conducting a social service on May 3 morning at Keikrupat in connection with the coming Great June Uprising.
He further urged all the members of the AMVIMPA and the Film Forum Manipur to join the service.
